I-PHOQS Infrastructure is thrilled to invite all the infrastructure\u2019s members, PhDs and students to the School on New Trends in Photonics Applications. This immersive event will showcase the latest advancements and new perspectives in photonics based innovation and cutting-edge technologies, and offer a unique opportunity to explore how light-based technologies are shaping our future. The school goal is to provide to PhD students and young researchers a general overview on various areas of photonics applications in different fields. Topics span from quantum cryptography and technologies for biomedical imaging and cultural heritage,\u00a0 to silicon photonics, microLEDs, 5G and 6G.<\/p>\n

The school will be in the Collegio Universitario Alcantara, Via Caronda, 129 \u2013 95128 Catania, an elegant facility in downtown Catania for easy access to the participants. Participation of PhD students and young researchers from the I-PHOQS community but also in general from academia or industry is highly welcome! Available positions are free of charge but limited to about 50 people. The school format will be of having lecture from morning to late afternoon, with coffee and lunch breaks.<\/p>\n
