{"id":2439,"date":"2025-04-10T15:42:01","date_gmt":"2025-04-10T13:42:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.i-phoqs.eu\/?p=2439"},"modified":"2025-04-10T15:42:01","modified_gmt":"2025-04-10T13:42:01","slug":"fusion-energy-i-phoqs-also-involved-in-the-agreement-between-rse-and-cnr-ino","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.i-phoqs.eu\/?p=2439","title":{"rendered":"Fusion Energy: I-PHOQS Also Involved in the Agreement Between RSE and CNR-INO"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"\" data-start=\"56\" data-end=\"479\"><em data-start=\"140\" data-end=\"162\">Rome, March 26, 2025<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"56\" data-end=\"479\">A significant step forward in nuclear fusion research: RSE and the National Institute of Optics of the National Research Council (CNR-INO) today signed a collaboration agreement to develop studies, research activities, and experimentation in the field of inertial confinement fusion (Inertial Fusion Energy \u2013 IFE).<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"481\" data-end=\"928\">The agreement aims to promote the development of advanced technologies for energy production through high-power lasers, also leveraging the unique capabilities provided by I-PHOQS, the largest Italian research infrastructure in the field of photonics, developed under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). Thanks to its resources, I-PHOQS will offer high-energy laser platforms needed for innovative experimentation in inertial fusion.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"930\" data-end=\"1213\">The agreement, which will last 36 months, includes the joint use of top-tier infrastructures, including RSE\u2019s mechanical and structural materials characterization laboratories and, most notably, the Intense Laser Irradiation Laboratory (ILIL) of CNR-INO, an integral part of I-PHOQS.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1215\" data-end=\"1707\">Paolo De Natale, Acting Director of CNR-INO, highlighted the strategic importance of I-PHOQS for this collaboration:<br data-start=\"1331\" data-end=\"1334\" \/>\u201cThanks to I-PHOQS, our Institute has access to the most advanced high-energy laser infrastructure in Italy, an essential resource for inertial fusion experimentation.
