On April 22, 2026<\/strong>, the National Research Council of Italy<\/span><\/span> (CNR) will host the workshop \u201cResearch Infrastructures for Innovation\u201d<\/strong>, organized in collaboration with research institutions and universities funded under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan<\/span><\/span> (PNRR), within Mission 4 \u2013 Education and Research<\/strong>, Component 2 \u2013 From Research to Business<\/strong>, Investment Line 3.1 \u2013 Fund for the creation of an integrated system of research and innovation infrastructures<\/strong>, financed by the European Union<\/span><\/span> through NextGenerationEU<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n

The event will mark the official launch of the PNRR Research Infrastructures Network<\/strong>, a strategic community open to businesses and designed to foster operational partnerships between research organizations and the industrial sector.<\/p>\n

Representatives from the Italian Ministry of University and Research<\/span><\/span> (MUR), the Italian Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy<\/span><\/span> (MIMIT), Unioncamere<\/span><\/span>, and leading representatives from the business community have been invited to participate.<\/p>\n

Fully aligned with the National Research Infrastructures Programme 2021\u20132027<\/span><\/span> (PNIR) and the ESFRI Roadmap 2021<\/span><\/span>, the Network\u2019s activities span key strategic sectors, including Digital<\/strong>, Energy<\/strong>, Environment<\/strong>, Health and Food<\/strong>, Physical Sciences and Engineering<\/strong>, and Social and Cultural Innovation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Through this initiative, Research Infrastructures will begin opening their facilities, services, and expertise<\/strong> to companies, creating new opportunities for collaborative research and innovation projects<\/strong> and strengthening connections between scientific excellence and industrial development.<\/p>\n

The workshop will begin at 9:30 AM<\/strong> at the Conference Hall of CNR Headquarters<\/strong> in Rome<\/span><\/span> (Piazzale Aldo Moro 7). The program will feature sessions on thematic operational partnerships and on how to access research infrastructures<\/strong>, a dedicated discussion on their sustainability and long-term impact<\/strong>, and will conclude with a roundtable on future collaborations between research infrastructures and industry<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
