Description : Alessia Irrera is a Research Director at the CNR-DSFTM, URT LABSENS & Beyond Nano of Messina. Her main research interests are the fabrication, characterization, and optimization of nanomaterials (1D, 2D, 3D) of different materials (semiconductors, metals, etc..) with various morphologies (ordered, disordered, fractals, and so on). In particular, she focuses her efforts on the synthesis and characterization of nanostructures with industrially compatible approaches. Moreover, special attention is devoted to the fabrication of innovative nanostructure-based sensing platform with high selectivity and sensitivity as novel point of care devices for early diagnosis purposes.
