Description : Leonida A. Gizzi is Research Director and head of the CNR-INO Unit in Pisa, where he is also leading the Intense Laser Irradiation Laboratory (https://ilil.ino.it). He is an experimental physicist in the fields of high power lasers, plasmas and applications to particle acceleration, secondary sources and inertial fusion energy. He is currently coordinating laser development for ESFRI infrastructure based on high power lasers including HiPER, ELI, EuPRAXIA, aimed at the establishment of fusion for energy and plasma acceleration of particles and light sources for health sciences. He is co-author of more than 300 publications.
