
I-PHOQS Workshop on Laboratory and Analysis Automation on March 24th
13 March 2026On April 22, 2026, the National Research Council of Italy (CNR) will host the workshop “Research Infrastructures for Innovation”, organized in collaboration with research institutions and universities funded under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), within Mission 4 – Education and Research, Component 2 – From Research to Business, Investment Line 3.1 – Fund for the creation of an integrated system of research and innovation infrastructures, financed by the European Union through NextGenerationEU.
The event will mark the official launch of the PNRR Research Infrastructures Network, a strategic community open to businesses and designed to foster operational partnerships between research organizations and the industrial sector.
Representatives from the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR), the Italian Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (MIMIT), Unioncamere, and leading representatives from the business community have been invited to participate.
Fully aligned with the National Research Infrastructures Programme 2021–2027 (PNIR) and the ESFRI Roadmap 2021, the Network’s activities span key strategic sectors, including Digital, Energy, Environment, Health and Food, Physical Sciences and Engineering, and Social and Cultural Innovation.
Through this initiative, Research Infrastructures will begin opening their facilities, services, and expertise to companies, creating new opportunities for collaborative research and innovation projects and strengthening connections between scientific excellence and industrial development.
The workshop will begin at 9:30 AM at the Conference Hall of CNR Headquarters in Rome (Piazzale Aldo Moro 7). The program will feature sessions on thematic operational partnerships and on how to access research infrastructures, a dedicated discussion on their sustainability and long-term impact, and will conclude with a roundtable on future collaborations between research infrastructures and industry.
