
THz frequency comb generation in a high-power enhancement cavity: first experimental demonstration
9 May 2025The Quantum Optics and Quantum Materials (QOQM) Summer School, scheduled for May 26–30, 2025, in Lecce, Italy, offers an immersive experience into the cutting-edge realms of quantum science and technology. Organized by the I-PHOQS Infrastructure Network and supported by the European Union’s NextGenerationEU initiative, this event is tailored for PhD students and postdoctoral researchers eager to delve into advanced topics such as quantum computing, quantum optics, many-body physics, quantum materials, spintronics, and superconductivity.
Participants will benefit from lectures delivered by a distinguished panel of international experts, the program also features a poster session to showcase emerging research, along with engaging social activities like evening talks at the historic Teatro Paisiello, a welcome cocktail featuring the interactive QTris quantum game, a social dinner, and an excursion to a nearby natural park. These events are designed to foster collaboration and networking among attendees.
Set against the backdrop of Lecce’s rich architectural heritage, the school sessions will be held at the former convent of Santa Maria del Carmine, with a special session hosted at the CNR Institute of Nanotechnology, including a tour of its state-of-the-art laboratories.
